Late nights and early mornings

Author: Maddie Starks | Date: 30-07-2009

Morning everyone from the media centre!

It's Maddie back again. Last night was a late one as the printer ran off the last copies of Pulse for this mornings paper when the participants arrive. Everyone's really busy this morning. Most people were awake and in the 'office' by 8.30. We folded the copies of Pulse and paper girls me, Becki and Ella delivered it around the site along with vital directions to the amazing multistory tesco! Also, Benny and Charlie are putting together the first of the podcasts on their Mac's.

Around the site things are really comming together. The empty spaces in the field are quickly filling up and the whole area is starting to resemble a jamboree. All we need now is our participants!

That's it for now really, but for a more regular update on how things are, check out the status under 'Live at KIJ'.

Wow!!

Howdy partners,

Hope you are all ok and have arrived safely at KIJ. I have just been for a walk around the site with Emma and Dan and it looks amazing. Tents are popping up everywhere; different shapes, sizes and colours. I said hello to lots of people so hopefully when I walk around again I will see some more faces who will want to be my friends.

Right, must dash off for another walk but I thought I would give you a quick update on my KIJ adventures. Come find me in the media centre, if im not there just look out for the guys and girls in the turquoise t-shirts who will point you in the right directions.

Bye!!

PS: Wave at the media team when you see them!! Happy faces equals happy people!!

They're arriving in mass

Author: Ella Hunt | Date: 30-07-2009

Coach after coach has arrived this morning, with so many people here there is a great buzz in the atmosphere. The rain has just stopped horray!!

So as the sun starts to shine again the once vacant field becomes home to many a scout. Everyone has a busy afternoon ahead setting up their individual camp sites and settling in.

We are all really excited here for the opening ceremony tonight, which we shall tell you all about soon.

Ella
