Welcome to the pages of Sub Camp E where over the next coming months the Sub Camp programme will be developed with, we hope, your thoughts and ideas. I am Chip, the Sub Camp Leader, and the team consists of Paul, Lou, Di and Jean who will be undertaking tasks to give you an enjoyable and fun time on our Sub Camp.

Not only will we be looking after your welfare by making sure you are safe, but the team will offer you refreshments and a listening ear at all times of the day. If you have invited guests they will be made welcome onto the site in true Scouting style. The camping area you will be allocated will be fair and allow you space and the opportunity for you to entertain guests, new found friends and neighbours. The Sub Camp is your home for 7 days so we will facilitate a compromise and understanding approach to any questions you have.

Our Sub Camp programme will be a showcase of your talents based around E for Environment.  A Village Fete and a Stage Show are some of the activities we are arranging for our day and we need your participation! Keep a look out more details so you can prepare for what will be an “E” – EXCELLENT EXTRAVAGANZA!

We will have plans for an entrance gate, quiet area, fun day and aim to be a role model of environmental issues that will offer you an experience you will never forget. To enable this to happen, do not forget to read the KIJ Guidelines on what you should and should not bring, type of equipment, facilities available, but more importantly the varied and wide range of activities on offer. Every day there will be activities held on and off site, details of these will be available on the Sub Camp site board and the team will be there to make sure your young people experience these.

All the Sub Camp team members have had experience in Scouting and/or Guiding and events like this before. We all bring different skills but are aware the success of the Jamboree is the experience you have. So, we need your contribution and ideas on how you want your site to look and function.
