Tolerance

Hi, Thanks for clicking onto sub camp T, it’s great that you want to know all about “Tolerance” and what we will be getting up to.

Tolerance has a very enthusiastic team headed by Steve Pursey and they all come with great scouting experience. Their primary concern is that you have a fab’ time at the Jamboree and are able to maximise the opportunities it provides.

Tolerance promises to provide an enjoyable base from which to explore the Jamboree and to integrate with fellow Scouts and sub camps. We will be arranging a variety of activities, play areas and shows to entertain ourselves and our guests. We will be challenging our sub camp members to consider and reflect upon their sub camp title but most importantly we will be making the experience FUN. As someone once said “Good humour makes all things Tolerable” so even the difficulties that we know can be experienced at a Jamboree will be overcome with team support and assistance.

As you have possibly read on other areas of this site KIJ is packed full of opportunities from Adventurous activities to social entertainment and all on a fabulous site in the “Garden of England” KENT.

Our programme is packed and after Arrival & Opening Ceremony we will be having our “Day Out” which you will have a choice of. This is followed by a day of “Activities” on site which nobody will be disappointed in. Next we will be enjoying our “Sub Camp Day” which will have a Country Fair feel to it with a few surprises!! It will require participation from everyone and I guarantee you will not want to miss the evening extravaganza when we hold our “Sub Camp Showcase”…. That’s because you will be performing in it !!! Details will be forwarded.

The next Activities will be on Water and you will spend the day by the seaside at Whitstable with all that this great water sports centre has to offer. Then we will have an “It’s a Knockout “ competition which will seem like another water sports day and will certainly be a highlight event. ( Massive inflatable courses with lots of water and foam !! ). Then back down to ground with another taste of activities and a day to recover before the closing ceremony… Oh and during this time you will be socialising in one of the many areas of the Global Development Village, Explorer chill zone or café’s as well as on the sub camp where we will continue to entertain you with a variety of games and challenges….
