Welcome from the Chief

Hi all, my name’s Dean and I have the privilege to be heading the team for Kent’s 5th International Jamboree KIJ09.

Your KIJ experience is just beginning and now you have committed to attending, Kent Scouts hope you will have a fun and pleasurable experience from start to finish.

With over 2000 members on site from both Scout and Guide organisations, we are running our largest jamboree yet and although not as big as others in the UK, we will be providing an intimate but truly International Fun Experience that is especially looking forward to welcoming young people from different walks of life from all over the UK with a sprinkling of scouts from all over the world.

The management team have been working hard on this event for well over 2 years and are prepared to do all they can to make KIJ09 one Jamboree you will not forget.

Its great to have you on board and I look forward to meeting you all in July.
