Before you arrive

Tasks that could be done before you arrive – just using that spare night you have during the week that is not normally Scouting!!

  • Prepare a Campfire item.
  • Prepare your breakfast.
  • Run a Stall or two.
  • Arrange the “Trash Fashion Statement”.
  • Encourage the karaoke, the drummer or singer to practice for entertainment on stage.
  • Try a new recipe on the Sub Camp Team.

Just a few other pointers

These are things that have cropped up in the past and will be added too:

  • Dogs are not allowed on site.
  • If you need accommodation that is not canvas then this has to be arranged through the Camp Warden, so contact the website urgently.
  • It has not been arranged yet but if you smoke a designated area will be allocated.
  • Look out for details of an Adult Bar and the drinking policy.
  • The site is limited in size, so don’t be disappointed, avoid the large marquee. We will be issuing guidelines if in doubt check with us.
  • The whole Sub Camp works as a team, we solve and help each other in true Scouting spirit so fun and enjoyment is the key word for all.

Home made are the best; every evening a Representative will be invited to the welcome tent to discuss the days activities and receive an update and information for the following day. It’s always nice to sit a round with friends, a drink and try a cake that is homemade. So for these meetings bring a cake to share with others, it is so much more enjoyable.
